Directions to the Courthouse
From the intersection of 5th Street and Pacific Avenue, proceed south on Pacific Avenue.
Once you cross the Rudee Inlet Bridge, Pacific Avenue will become General Booth Blvd and later will become Princess Anne Road.
Follow this road for approximately 8 miles. You will reach a traffic light where you will make a right turn to remain on and continue on Princess Anne Road.
The Virginia Beach Courthouse is at the corner of Princess Anne Road & James Madison Blvd. Parking for the public entrance is located on the west side of the building off of Nimmo Parkway.
From the intersection of St. Pauls Blvd and East City Hall Avenue, take East City Hall Avenue east and merge onto I-264 east towards Virginia Beach.
Continue on I-264 for approximately 7½ miles where you will take Exit 17-A onto Independence Blvd. south.
Follow Independence Blvd for approximately ½ mile and you will bear to your right (at the Wa-Wa store) onto South Independence Blvd.
Follow South Independence Blvd for approximately three miles and turn left onto Princess Anne Road.
Follow Princess Anne Road for 3⅔ miles and turn right onto James Madison Blvd. Parking and the public entrance is on the west side of the building facing Nimmo Parkway.
From the intersection of Virginia Beach Blvd and Independence Blvd, proceed south on Independence Blvd for approximately 1½ miles and you will bear to your right (at the Wa-Wa store) onto South Independence Blvd.
Follow South Independence Blvd for approximately three miles and turn left onto Princess Anne Road.
Follow Princess Anne Road for 3⅔ miles and turn right onto James Madison Blvd. Parking and the public entrance for the Courthouse is on the west side of the building, facing Nimmo Parkway.
From the intersection of Battlefield Blvd and Great Bridge Blvd, proceed south on N. Battlefield Blvd 1½ miles and turn left onto Mount Pleasant Road.
Follow Mount Pleasant Road which will become North Landing Road for approximately 12½ miles to the intersection with George Mason Drive.
Turn left onto George Mason Drive and proceed for approximately ½ mile to the intersection of James Madison Drive & Princess Anne Road.
Parking and the public entrance is on the west side of the building facing Nimmo Parkway.
The Virginia Beach Courthouse complex/municipal center is serviced by the #25 bus that operates between the hours of 6:00 AM and 11:00 PM on weekdays. This bus route operates between the Virginia Beach Municipal Center complex and Military Circle Mall in Norfolk.
The #33 bus also services the Virginia Beach Courthouse complex/municipal center offering service between the transfer station at Tidewater Community College and 68th Street at the Oceanfront between 7:30 AM and 10:30 PM.
